Once it has sat, rinse the sink with extremely hot water. Your sink should smell better once the water has rinsed through.
You can also pour a salt-water solution down your kitchen sink drain to eliminate and unwanted odors. This will also eliminate grease that has built up over time. You should also look into buying a drain cleaning solution.
